Queiroz Galvão Energia’s fifth and largest wind farm is operational: Caldeirão Grande do Piauí.

Located at Chapada do Araripe, Piauí state countryside, about 400 kilometers from state capital Teresina, the wind complex is divided in two phases. The first phase with 70 wind turbines of 189MW each has already been commissioned and is fully operational.

Combined with the second phase, scheduled for 2018, there will be almost 180 MW of installed capacity added to the Brazilian electricity system that will contribute to meeting the country's energy needs.
